Privacy Policy

Syllabus2Cal turns your course syllabi into a calendar you control. This policy explains what we process, how we handle Google and Outlook calendar data, and the controls you have. We aim to collect the minimum needed and never sell your data.

Information we process

Google and Outlook calendar data

Connecting Google Calendar or Outlook is optional. When you connect:

Limited Use. Syllabus2Cal's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the feature you requested or as required by law.

How we use your information

Only to run the product for you: parse syllabi, build and sync your calendar, show overlays you enable, send the reminders you configure, and keep your account secure. We do not use your syllabus or calendar content to train external AI models, and untrusted syllabus text is treated as data, never as instructions.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Read-only share links are created only when you make one, and you can revoke them at any time. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication) to operate the service.

Retention and your controls

Security

Calendar tokens are encrypted at rest, backend-only tables are access restricted, and secrets are never exposed to the browser or logs.

Children

Syllabus2Cal is intended for college and university students and is not directed to children under 13.
